BLAST-OFF: The Rocket Launch, also known as Blast Off, is an Event that happened in Season 4 on June 30th at 10:30 PST (Pacific stranded Time) that caused the appearance of the Crack. This was the First in-game event in the History of Battle Royale and a proud moment for epic games.
KEVIN THE CUBE: The Cube (aka Kevin) is a mysterious object that appeared on Friday, August 24 2018 near Paradise palms.
The rift which spawned the Cube was likely corrupted by The storm before creating it resulting in the purple color and Storm-related abilities.
Players in its general vicinity had their shields slowly charged. Additionally, The Cube functioned as a sort of jump pad bouncing those who jumped on it or hit it reportedly hitting it enough times resulted in The Cube striking back with a bolt of lightning, dealing 30 damage, and sending players flying in the opposite direction.
it began to move at a rate of one revolution every 1 hour and 43 minutes. It was unclear where it would end up but a theory about potential new points on the map might be created when it stops.
During its journey around the map, the Cube printed seven runes with anti-gravity domes surrounding it. Throughout the final three weeks of Season 5, the cube continued to print these runes.
After finishing this process The Cube destroyed one of the buildings in Tilted towers. The Cube then proceeded to the edge of Loot Lake on September 19, 2018. The Cube appeared to dissolve, turning Loot Lake in a purple-pink gelatinous state with properties akin to The Cube itself such as becoming bouncy.
On October 24, 2018, the first day of Fortnitemares 2018 the Cube exploded the floating island into multiple pieces, the Cube still intact. Following the explosion, the Cube fragments that had been growing on the island had been sent all over the map which released the Cube monsters.
From this day until November 4 the Cube began to crack. On November 3 it began to drip its liquid into the vortex, until the final drip. On November 4 2018 the cube started to spin rapidly, which led to a white flash, and the Cube splitting apart. After the flash, players were teleported to The In-Between Shortly after a rift formed and took shape of a butterfly which then multiplied and came to every player still alive.
THE BUTTERFLY EVENT: This was an event that took place on November 4, 2018, at 10:00 AM, PST. When the cube traveled and moved across the map it settled in loot late and after leaking in loot lake the cube was finally empty. The Cube (aka Kevin) then started to spin, and emit white light, while turning grey, the cube finally exploded, and a blinding white light covered all the players' screens. Everyone was teleported to The In-between. After floating around for a while, a giant rift started to form. It took the shape of a giant Butterfly, multiplied, and started to shrink while moving over to the player. The players stuck out their fingers, and the butterflies landed on them. Then another flash of light appeared, and the players were back on the island, and coming down through a rift, with Leaky Lake now being covered by a new group of islands. It was the Fourth “Live Event” in Fortnite
ICE STORM: The Ice Storm Event was a Battle Royal event introduced four days day after the 7.20 Patch Update on January 19 at 2:00pm EST (due to the sphere exploding and covered the map in snow) with the live Ice Storm event. The event lasted for 10 days (January 19th-29th).
However, the actual live event took place on January 19 2019 at 2:00pm EST. It started with the sphere at Polar peaks exploding and revealing the Ice king and a giant almost holographic version of him that appeared to be following the very movement that he did. He then took the magic that he had been holding in his hand the whole time and started swirling it and then released it on the map sending a giant wave of snow over it, covering it in snow.SHOWTIME: The Showtime Live Event is the 7th to Occur in Fortnite: Battle Royal. The concert was held on February 2nd, 2019 at 11AM PST, and the encore was also held on the same day at 11PM PST and was held at Pleasant Park. This concert was roughly 10 minutes long and featured multiple of Marshmello's songs. As the songs cycled the stadium got different special effects (anti-gravity, skydiving, and more) It has its own set of challenges.
“Yo, what is up Fortnite! Whatsup, Pleasant Park. My name is Marshmello and thank you for coming out today and making history with me. Are you guys ready?”
Marshmallow said this.UNVAULTED: The Unvaulting Event (also known as the Nexus Event) was an event that took place on May 4, 2019. Following the events late-Season 8 the vault opened and players could jump into the vault to enter the In-between similar to the Butterfly event. Players were then allowed to choose a weapon to unvault. There were 6 options: bouncers, Drum gun, Grappler, Infinity blade, Planes, and the Tactical SMG. Players chose the Drum Gun to return to the game and it promptly was. After the drum gun was unvalued players were brought back to the island.THE FINAL SHOWDOWN: The Final Showdown was a Fortnite event that took place on July 20, 2019. Since releasing the 'Monster Team' banner and the 'Mech Team' banner in the item shop for gifting only. The Monster appeared outside the Battle Royale map between The block and the Lazy Lagoon. It also had shown the Ice King's castle on top of him. The Monster first created a laser beam around the spot that didn't do any damage to anything. The monster then tried to open the vault for the power orb that was inside. Mecha then started to make his appearance at the Pressure Plant. It first started with Mecha throwing rockets towards the Monster, also completely destroying the Ice king’s castle. The monster then shoots his laser beam towards Mecha knocking it off its feet. Mecha got back up, then ran towards the Monster and jumped him into the outside river west. Mecha then made his appearance thought that he was the winner and the Monster jumps out and takes Mecha down biting his rocket fuel and the left arm. Mecha then fought out of it went to the vault and was able to get the power orb from inside the vault. Mecha then took the punch with it and knocking down the Monster. Mecha then grabs the statue from Neo Tilted which was found out to be a sword. The sword was used by Mecha, and with a slow-mo scene, Mecha stabbed the Monster in his single eye and defeated it.Mecha then does the No sweat emote which is the Floss with only one arm, salutes and flies away.
As a result of the conflict, the Devourer's skeletal remains lay on the island until its destruction. In Season x his skeleton became the site of a grove of strange purple/pink plants. This is believed to be caused by a leak from the Sword, which has a purplish color, likely because it appears to be made from The Cube’s remains.
The most relevant change, however, is the release of The Zero Point, which would cause the fabric of Time to collapse and The visitor to return for Season X causing the whole map to go into a black hole for the end of Chapter 1.
THE END: The End is an event in Battle royale that occurred at the end of Season X. It started on October 13, 2019, at 2PM ET similar to The Final Showdown. It was the final event to take place during Chapter 1 hence the name, "The End." Construction for the event began on September 13 and ended on September 23
At the start of the event, the rocket at Dusty Depot took off and rifted away into the sky like it did in season 4 but unlike before it went into a rift much sooner after it launched.
All the rifts above the rift zones were activated. A single rocket came out of the rift over Greasy Grove it flew down and turned upwards flying past Dusty Depot and into a rift over Lonely Lounge. The other rifts over the rift zones created 6 additional rockets that flew around into their own rifts (one for each of The Seven). They each came out of these rifts and proceeded to aimlessly fly around the island then near the meteor then eventually crashing into the same rift one at a time. They arrived behind the Frozen Meteor and made a rift in front of it. All 7 rockets collided with this rift multiple times looping around the meteor until it unfroze and dropped into the rift. A few seconds later a rift appeared above Loot lake and one rocket came out. It pointed a laser at the Zero Point (the rift above Loot Lake) (a callback to The Blast-Off Event) and crashed into it creating a shockwave that launched players into the sky, causing them to be in a permanent floating state. Shortly after a much bigger rift opened up and the meteor, surrounded by the remaining 6 rockets dropped onto the bubble surrounding Loot Lake as the rockets dispersed to maintain a safe distance. The meteor struggles but eventually destroys the bubble.
This ultimately caused the frozen Zero Point's explosion to unfreeze and all of its energy released onto the island further knocking players back and causing the rockets to disappear into rifts. The Rocket then broke through a rift and hit the Zero Point which caused it to destabilize more. Finally, the meteor and 6 Rockets come out and the rockets rift away while the Meteor crashes into Zero Point with immense pressure. The Zero Point explodes and begins to contain itself along with the island.
After the event players were greeted to a black screen with a small object with the appearance of a black hole emitting blue light. Over time, numbers would appear around it. During this state, if you were to enter the KONAMI code (UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B/CIRCLE A/X ENTER/MENU/OPTIONS/PLUS), you would be able to play a mini-game that replicates the Durrr Burger arcade game seen in the Season 9 trailer. The mini-game was previously playable during the Fortnite World Cup live streams in-game.
18 different numbers appeared around the black hole. The numbers are 11, 146, 15, 62, 87, 14, 106, 2, 150, 69, 146, 15, 36, 2, 176, 8, 160, and 65. When put into comparison by the number of words in all of the Visitor's recordings from Season X's Out of Time Challenges it states "I was not alone. Others are outside the loop. This was not calculated. The Nothing is now inevitable". During this time, when pressing Save the World or Creative Ray from Save the World says that she is fine and she is staying home to save lives. All accounts owned by Fortnite on social media were blacked out and all of their posts were hidden, the only one remaining being a link to a live stream that showed a live feed of the black hole.
On October 15th, The Zero Point finally reformed itself and rearranged the matter of the Battle Royale island, causing Chapter 2: Season 1 to start
