God Of War, 2018, Worth it!

God of war is a PlayStation action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica studios released in April 2018. It is the eighth god of war game published by Sony and is the sequel to the god of war III in 2010. It starts with Kratos and his son Atreus grieving for his mother Faye. She was a giant from one of the nine realms called Jotunheim and Kratos and his son were unaware of it.

They were instructed by her to scatter her ashes on the highest peak in all realms which Kratos thought was in Midgard but was told by Mimir it was in Jotunheim.

Although Faye was never shown in any of the games but was the main reason for the story was created. She had an axe made by the Sindri and brok who also created the Mjölnir. For the first half, Kratos uses the axe until he has to use the blades of chaos to go to Helheim to get the heart for the gatekeeper to save Atreus and was directed by Freya (Odin’s ex-wife and boulder’s mother). She also has
to turn against us so we don’t kill her so who is trying to kill her because she gave him the power to never feel anything ever but the spell is broken and he dies.
As Kratos and Atreus travel from realms to realms, they counter many other parts of the story and mysteries, like the world serpent, Jormungandr, fighting the Dragon and valkyries, which are among the hardest enemies in the game, and also meeting Zeus which throws back to the time when Kratos killed Zeus, his father in the God of War III, killing the sons of Thor to meeting Thor himself and leaving the game on a cliffhanger, knowing that we will be facing Thos himself in the next GOW in a fight.

In conclusion, the game is great doesn’t have many RPG elements, and is pretty emotional to see the relationship of the father and the son grow over time to the end where the final scatter Faye’s ashes in Jotunheim as of her wish.
