Halo: Infinite, how will it compare to previous Halo titles?

Halo Infinite or Halo 6 many would call it, going to be released in the fall of 2021. It will be coming on Xbox Series X and PC.

Halo was first delayed when its gameplay footage was released, and it didn't meet the standards which were set, so it was pulled back by 343 industries, a little and to be released in the autumn of 2021, and hopefully, be refurnished and give out a banger, with a free-to-play multiplayer.

And that's not it, the new halo is coming with the Forge mode, and also we will get an open-world section bigger than past Halo titles although 343 says that it will be a linear storyline, but we can explore the map, which is part of the Halo Ring, and this part will be several hours into the campaign, and at this point, you will be able to explore the ring, and there will also be a day-night cycle on the Ring.

In the released images by 343, we can see big upgrades in the graphics, there is a mad improvement in ambient occlusions, shadows, volumetric lighting, dynamic lighting, atmosphere, sky, and more such great things, so we can expect a spiritual reboot for the franchise.

In the gameplay footage, we can see that Banished are coming back as the enemies, led by Atriox, and a teaser which was released in June 2020, we can clearly hear one saying -

“The hour approaches. Our forces occupy the ring. Within hours, it’ll be under our control. Humanity will burn. Their brazen defiance will be all but a memory. No more prophets, no more lies. We stand together. Brothers to the end. We are his will, we are his legacy, we are the Banished,”

So, we are expecting to face Halo's most fierce factions, Banished, they were featured in Halo Wars 2, and now we will face them again in Halo Infinite, and now their leader will be War Chief Escharum.

Why Banished? "Because they are super cool and everyone likes them" as said by Paul Crocker, developer, who then added a serious note as, “to have something that’s an evolution of the Covenant, so you get some of the familiar, but something different [too], and it comes together to feel fresh.”

NEW WEAPONS AND UPGRADES

In the gameplay footage, we can also see Master Chief with a grappling hook, Grapple shot will be able to climb up terrain and probably fight other enemies, pulling them or disarming them.

Not only that, new weapons, the land also upgrades as the players explore, vehicles and gadgets, with a new upgrade system, so that will be an interesting thing to see in Halo Infinite

THERE WILL BE NO HALO 7 IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS

Studio's Head in an interview with IGN said, “Halo Infinite is the start of our platform for the future,” he said. “We want Infinite to grow over time, versus going to those numbered titles and having all that segmentation that we had before. It’s really about creating Halo Infinite as the start of the next ten years for Halo and then building that as we go with our fans and community.”, so 343 will not be producing another Halo title for the upcoming decade, instead, they will make Halo Infinite a platform for the future.
