Vice City Stories

Vice City Stories is a prequel to the Vice city set in 1984, two years before GTA - Vice City. The game’s protagonist Victor Vance, the brother of Lance Vance who will betray Tommy Vercetti in 1986. Victor momentarily appears in Vice City during the first cutscene, in which he is killed through a drug deal gone wrong.

Victor or Vic Vance is a U.S. Army soldier whose sergeant, gets him involved in drug trafficking cause of Jerry Martinez which is strictly against Vic's morals. Shortly Vic is dishonorably discharged for the drugs found in his room and for bringing a prostitute to the barracks, both of which were planned by Martinez. Vic works for Phil Cassidy, who is also made an appearance in GTA - III, GTA - Vice City, and GTA - Liberty City Stories. Phil's brother-in-law, Marty Williams, abuses his wife Louise and their baby Mary-Beth., Vic kills him and begins a relationship with her after Marty kidnaps Louise. Then shortly after, Victor takes over Marty's Territory.

Later, Vic's brother, Lance Vance comes into town to join him on his mission to take over Vice City to get the money needed to pay for their brother's asthma medications. They both steal Martinez's cocaine, but the problem comes between the brothers after Vic finds out that Lance and Louise took them for themselves. Shortly after, Victor learns that Martinez was only transporting the drugs for the Mendez Brothers, leaving Lance and Vic with no other option but to work with the Mendez Brothers, and got betrayed after doing a few jobs for them. The Mendez Brothers then kidnaps Louise sometime after Vic defends and saves Phil Collins' gig from the Forelli Family and he and Lance hurry to rescue them. Lance gets taken by Armando Mendez and Vic somehow fights his way to the basement room of the Mendez Mansion, where a deranged Armando is waiting for him using a Flamethrower, but Armando is swiftly killed by Victor during the intense fire-fight that succeeds. 

Though Lance survives, Vic is too late to save Louise. Then, with help from Phil Cassidy and Ricardo Diaz, Vic manages to steal an army helicopter (The Hunter), and proceeds to gun down some of Diego Mendez's Thugs, ultimately bringing him to land on the roof of the Mendez Building where he enters inside and continues his killing spree. As Victor's return to the rooftop, there is one final conflict, which ends when Vic kills Diego and Martinez, who had come in a helicopter when Vic was halfway from reaching Diego. Lance arrives to help Vic but is late, and together they decide never to touch drugs again. The Vance Brothers after that get in Lance's Helicopter and leave Vice City so they can send Pete the money for his asthma medications.
