Maybe now we have the answer to how long can a human live for

Aging is something not everyone likes, well most of the population, it maybe is because of the entire thought of death coming closer and closer every day. And many also think that some technology in the future may even turn humans immortal, which is a thought that lies on the outer boundaries of reality. The death of an organism is just inevitable. Ok so we can't be immortal, which makes sense, but how long can a human live? What if the human body was pushed to the absolute limits, how old can a person get? How many years will the human body live? A team of researchers might have the answer. Their study was published in the journal, Nature Communications.

The researchers say that the Human body can have a maximum lifespan of 150 years. They were able to get these results by testing the dynamic properties of an organism's state fluctuations, using blood tests to measure the age a human body can reach, for which they used DOSI (Dynamic Organism State Indicator.

BUT EXACTLY HOW?

The relation of aging and physiological variables are connected with the biological clocks of the body, which just refers to the biological functions happening within the body, like hormonal secretion, metabolism, and others, and these variations can be seen in blood markers, DNA methylation (A biological process by which methyl groups are added to DNA molecules, methylation changes the activity of the DNA segment). Aging progressively decreases the functions of the body, which makes the body vulnerable to diseases, as our DNA replicates over and over and loses functions, either due to errors in replicating or just turning off a gene.

Complete Blood Count (CBC) is one of the best metrics for overall health, by looking over CBC scores over an aging trajectory the variations in CBC could be used to create an indicator of aging, The indicator measures the physical resilience. By looking at healthy people, the DOSI predicted the incidence of future age-related diseases despite there were no current signs of disease.

DOSI was used to look at the future of study subjects, and the measurements were plotted, as it liberally increased with age, the researchers were able to calculate the maximum lifespan, the progressive loss of function indicated that humans can live up to 120-150 years at max. The loss of resilience within the body is the biggest underlying aging issue, because of which humans just cannot push past the mark of 150 years, no matter how advanced disease-fighting therapies are used.
